QES-AS scholars, Allan Yu and Marcondes Coelho Junior met in Brazil to compare case studies on climate change and rural communities in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo, Brazil. In addition, the scholars planned Marcondes Coelho Junior's visit to the Laboratory of Citizen Science (LabC) at the Universidad de Los Lagos (Chile) -- where Allan is currently pursuing his post-doctoral degree -- this June.

Allan and Marcondes will work jointly on participatory mapping for ecosystem services in the Quilombo do Campinho da Independencia, in Paraty, Brazil. For information and updates on their respective projects and future collaborations, please check our website regularly.
