The International Workshop of Traditional Peoples and Communities on Sustainable Development and Territories, Paraty (Brazil).

The International Workshop of Traditional Peoples and Communities on Sustainable Development and Territories, which took place in Paraty, between the 11th and 14th of July 2019, as part of the official program of the "Casa dos Povos/Casa de los Pueblos" during the International Literary Festival of Paraty (FLIP). Participants from countries such as Angola, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, and Portugal, as well as leaders from the Forum of Traditional Communities from Angra dos Reis, Paraty, and Ubatuba - caiçara, indigenous and quilombola - came together to form a network between traditional territories in Africa, Europe and Latin America around a common agenda for well-being that takes into account the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

The workshop was an initiative of the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (Fiocruz) and the Observatory of Sustainable and Healthy Territories of Bocaina (OTSS), a ten-year partnership between Fiocruz and the Forum of Traditional Communities in Angra dos Reis, Paraty, and Ubatuba (FCT).

The CoAdapta | Litoral project contributed to this event and initiative along with its FCT partners, Mapuche indigenous leaders, and CoAdapta project participants.
